Bank Of America Volunteers Walk For PTPL

11 Apr

On April 13th, a team of twenty-five Bank of America employees, friends and relatives volunteered to support People to People Liaison in The Human Race in honor of PTPL Treasurer, Ralph Toalston who was retiring from the Bank. Kimberly Stephenson, a manager at the bank’s Greensboro Mortgage Loan Service Center, served as the team captain. PTPL’S mission statement appeared on the race’s website.

The team also held a bake sale at its Service Center in support of PTPL. The team raised a total of $1,108 from the bake sale, walk pledges, and Bank of America matching gifts for employees’ donations. PTPL will receive $795 from the effort while the remainder will be used to support The Volunteer Center’s work.

Ralph joined the team in the 5K walk that began and ended at the Greensboro Coliseum. PTPL president Ralph Cauthen visited with the team to express the board’s appreciation for their work. This year marked the first year that volunteers walked in support of PTPL in the Human Race.
